MEET THE CIFLI PIONEERS FROM OUR 1ST INTAKE
Stefanie Dellzeit
Why I'm excited to be a CIFLI pioneer
Stefanie Dellzeit is an emerging actor and writer based in Sydney. She recently graduated from the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television with an Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Acting). Over two years of study she partook in a number of student films, projects and stage productions such as Caleb Lewis’ ‘Clinchfield’ directed by Dino Dimitriadis and William Shakespeare’s ‘The Two Gentlemen of Verona’ directed by Sean O’Riordan. Stefanie’s acting experience and training began in 2016 and has continued to grow through collaborative projects, acting competitions, courses at NIDA and Sydney Actors Collective and her work as a children’s entertainer.

Prior to acting, Stefanie also competed in dance competitions in a variety of styles, some of which she still attends classes for. As a writer, Stefanie first saw her work on stage in 2020 when she wrote and produced her graduating project ‘Stenosis’. Currently, she is developing her first feature film and web series and is rehearsing for her next show, William Shakespeare’s ‘Titus Andronicus’, directed by Shannon Thomas and Steven Ljubović. Stefanie’s undying curiosity about life, truth and people is nurtured by and shared through her art. She is excited to continue creating, discovering, collaborating and shifting things in the future however possible in this industry.
Financial sustainability and a career in the arts are two things not often seen in partnership. I am excited about CIFLI because I have the opportunity to achieve both and show others that it is possible!

Steffi Gil
Why I'm excited to be a CIFLI pioneer
It excites me to know that I will be working and growing with like-minded individuals who have been carefully selected and are serious about seeing the creative industry succeed and expand. This is an amazing opportunity for a group of passionate and driven people to band together and take action, develop knowledge and experience, challenge the norms, and become leading entrepreneurs.
Hi my name is Steffi Gil. I am an emerging actress, director, and producer. My passion and obsession has always been towards performance and creating stories and experiences. The last few years, my focus has been on acting for theatre and film. I am now embarking on my journey towards filmmaking and getting behind the camera as a director and producer.  In parallel, I have also worked for one of the biggest banks in Australia for over 7 years, upskilling myself in business policy compliance, commercial contract management and technology delivery. I have also led offshore and onshore teams and managed projects.

In the last few years, I have come to realise how important business skills and knowledge is for the arts to thrive on an individual and larger scale. As a result, I believe generating opportunities that are financially viable in all creative disciplines, will make it more accessible and attainable to people from all communities.

With my passion for the arts and experience within the corporate world, I would like to merge the two together to catapult not only my own creative career but become part of a force that innovates and pushes the creative industry to flourish not only artistically but financially.
Mark Power
Why I'm excited to be a CIFLI pioneer
My name is Mark Power and for almost 20 years I have been involved in the entertainment industry as an actor, singer, director and producer. In that time I have been privileged to work with hundreds of very talented people. Though I had been working in the IT industry, I decided to step out of the comfort of a job that, despite being lucrative, I found to be soul destroying. With the support of my wonderful wife I decided to see if I could make a living using my talents as a performer. For 8 years I have managed to scratch out a living and hone my skills as an actor and director.

In those years I have been frustrated and disappointed by the limited means to make a profit from performance. One of my greatest desires is to find a way to provide regular opportunities for actors who are trying to establish themselves in the industry, however the unreliability of financial outcomes makes it difficult to earn sufficient for oneself, let alone enough time or financial resources to provide such opportunities for others.
I am excited to be involved in CIFLI because it gives me more of a business mindset. It helps me look past my enthusiasm for a project, to see if it is financially viable. CIFLI provides me with the tools to assess a project in the arts, to see what needs to be done to make it profitable. CIFLI also brings together people who largely share a vision for the arts and complimentary skills to work efficiently together to ensure the project moves forward in the best possible way. I expect to be relying heavily upon the skills I learn from CIFLI for the rest of my professional life
